More details of the EU referendum, promised by the Conservative government by the end of 2017, were announced recently and one of the most controversial points was that 16 and 17 year olds will not be allowed to vote. Is this right? Vote in out poll below:

Any controversy is over whether the voting franchise should be *extended* to older children (16./17 year olds), not whether they should be stopped from voting.
I disagree. There had been much speculation before hand as to whether 16 and 17 year old would be allowed to vote in this referendum, as they were in the Scottish referendum. It was a prominent point before we knew details.
Delete'Will not be allowed to' is different from 'stopped from voting'.
